Emmo Warranty Policy

By purchasing any Emmo Inc products or other brand items sold by Emmo Inc, the customer agrees to the policies and procedures outlined below.

Terms and conditions apply for eligibility of warranty. Please refer to Terms and Conditions.

Any warranty is extended to the original owner with the original purchase paperwork. This portion does not cover the purchase of parts or the purchase of products sold by Emmo Inc that is not an electric bike, electric scooter ebike, electric motorcycle style ebike, electric mobility scooter, kick-style electric scooter, or ride-on toy.

Warranty Period

The warranty period is as follows:

Electric Bikes

Frame: 2 years (up to 4000km)

Motor: 2 years (up to 4000km)

Controller:  1 year (up to 4000km)

Battery & Charger: 6 months

Other components:  1 year (up to 4000km)

 

Scooter Style E-Bikes, Motorcycle Style E-Bikes, Mobility Scooters

Frame: 2 years (up to 6000km)

Motor: 1 year (up to 6000km)

Controller:  1 year (up to 6000km)

Battery & Charger: 6 months

Other components:  1 year (up to 6000km)

 

CAOFEN F80 Electric Motorcycles

Frame: 2 years (up to 6000km)

Motor: 2 years (up to 6000km)

Controller:  2 years (up to 6000km)

Battery: 2 years (up to 6000km)

Other components:  1 year (up to 6000km)

 

Electric bikes (Bicycle style)

  • Comprehensive Warranty (up to 4000km)There is a Two Year warranty (up to 4000kmfor the frame, and motor*. One year repair or part replacement is extended to the original owner on controller and other applicable components against manufacturer’s defect in workmanship and materials on the e-bikes. 
  • Manufacturer's comprehensive warranty does not cover such parts including, but not limited to: seats, plastic housings and shrouds, pitting, scratches and chips, brake pads, tires, tubes, or damage due to lack of maintenance, accident, misuse or abuse. Damage incurred from water, road salt and other foreign debris or chemicals are not covered by the comprehensive warranty. The labour of any warranty repair will be covered by the original store that the bike was purchased from only when it is being repaired at said store. The parts will be covered by Emmo Inc. You are responsible for providing original purchase paperwork and shipping the item to and from the store.
  • Six Month Warranty (up to 4000km)6 Month warranty on original Batteries and Chargers provided that they have been maintained as instructed by your vehicle hand-book and not subjected to freezing temperatures. For Lithium models, the chargers must match the lithium batteries. Emmo is not responsible for any damage resulting from using another brand or voltage of charger. The customer is responsible for providing original purchase paperwork and shipping the item to and from the store.
  • If you are not able to bring the ebike to the location you purchased from, you may be required to ship the item and a copy of your purchase paperwork to Emmo Inc before receiving a replacement item. You are responsible for shipping to Emmo Inc. Once the warranty claim is approved, Emmo Inc will arrange the shipping for the replacement parts and cover the return shipping to you unless expressed otherwise by Emmo Inc. Labor will not be covered by Emmo Inc.
  • Certain conditions that may limit or completely void the warranty of your e-bike are: altering the ebike from its original design or its intended use, eg: pulling a trailer, as a delivery vehicle or any commercial use.

Electric Scooter E-Bike, Electric Motorcycle Style E-Bike, and Electric Mobility Scooters

Emmo dealers may charge an assembly fee to assemble the ebike.

  • Comprehensive One Year Warranty(up to 6000km):Two year manufacturer warranty on the frame*. One year repair or part replacement is extended to the original owner on the swing-arm, motor, and controller against manufacturer’s defect in workmanship and materials on all e-bikes, mobility scooters.
  • Manufacturer's comprehensive warranty does not cover such parts including, but not limited to: seats, plastic housings and shrouds, pitting, scratches and chips, brake pads, tires, tubes, or damage due to lack of maintenance, accident, misuse or abuse. Damage incurred from water, road salt and other foreign debris or chemicals are not covered by the comprehensive warranty. Purchased Parts

Please consult your Emmo dealer for more details of the parts policies.

  • Shipping Damage: Emmo Inc will not be held responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items due to any delivery services or courier actions. Report any damage to Emmo Inc within 7 days of receiving the part with pictures for any shipping damage and proof of purchase. Please note the damage on the shipper’s Bill of Delivery prior to signing off on the shipment. Shipping damage is not covered by Emmo Inc if you choose your own shipping method or freight forwarder. The cost of shipping will not be covered under warranty unless Emmo Inc agrees in writing to cover the shipping cost.
  • Repair and Store Purchases of Emmo Inc Products: Any warranty is extended to the original owner with the original purchase paperwork. Any return or exchange within 7 days must be in new, unused, and original packaging. The customer is responsible for notifying Emmo Inc of the return or exchange and the cost of shipping will not be covered under warranty unless Emmo Inc agrees in writing to cover the shipping cost. On all return and exchange items, a restocking fee of 20% will be withheld from the refund amount unless Emmo Inc has agreed to another arrangement in writing. The cost of the item minus the restocking fee will be refunded once the product is returned and determined to be returnable. Restocking fees are 20% of MSRP not including Taxes, Freight/Shipping or PDI. Items out of original packaging will not be accepted.
  • Part Warranty Policy: All items with warranty must have a valid warranty sticker. For Lithium models, the chargers must match the lithium batteries. Emmo is not responsible for any damage resulting in using another brand or voltage of charger or using an Emmo item with items that are not sold by Emmo Inc. Within 7 days, any items defective by manufacturer quality and are under warranty can be replaced. After 7 days, any items defective in manufacturer quality and are under warranty can be repaired. Warranty does not cover damage due to lack of maintenance, accident, misuse or abuse. Damage incurred from water, road salt and other foreign debris or chemicals. The labour of any warranty repair will be covered by the original store that the Emmo Inc part was purchased from only when it is being repaired at said store. For repairs that are done on items that are not from Emmo Inc, only a 7-day Parts Warranty will be included.
  • If the part was paid by financing, you are responsible for any cancellation fees or penalties charged by the third party financing company unless Emmo Inc has agreed to cover the fees in writing. The financing loan agreement will only be cancelled after Emmo Inc has received and approved the returned item.
  • For repairs that are done on items that are not from Emmo Inc, only a 7-day Parts Warranty will be included. Emmo Inc is not responsible for items modified from its intended use or purpose resulting in damage to the ebike or injury to the customer or third party.

Warranty Extension

Please consult your Emmo dealer for more details of the extended warranty plan.

  • 1-Year Extended Warranty:The extended warranty plan is an extension to the comprehensive manufacturer warranty. It covers nearly all items covered under the comprehensive manufacturer warranty, except for batteries. It follows the same terms and conditions as the comprehensive manufacturer warranty.

Warranty Claims

In the event of any defect or malfunction, the customer should contact our customer service department immediately. They will be able to provide a diagnosis and offer technical advice on how to resolve the issue. If they deem the issue to be resulting from a manufacturing fault, replacement parts will be sent to the customer at no cost.
If any of the components are found to be damaged as a result of abuse or misuse, the warranty will not be applicable. In addition, any repairs resulting from accidental damage, modification of the bike, or use for purposes for which it was not intended will also void the warranty.
Finally, any service or replacement of parts that are not included in this warranty must be performed by an authorized Emmo Bikes service center. A valid proof of purchase is also required to obtain service under this warranty.

Taubik Warranty Policy

Taubik warrants that all new Electric Bicycles, and main components therein sold by an authorized Taubik Dealer are warranted to the original retail purchaser against manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase.

The original bill of sale must be presented to your selling dealer for any warranty to be considered.

This warranty pertains to any of the essential electric bicycle components that are found defective, provided that the product was used in a standard and controlled manner, and that it was maintained according to the manufacturer’s instructions manual. Essential components include the bicycle frame, electric motor, battery, display console and controller.

 If a defective part is found during the warranty period and the customer notifies their selling dealer immediately, the seller will repair or replace the part based on his sole discretion. This warranty will be void if any repair or change is performed by any third party aside from an authorized Taubik dealer.

 It is expressly agreed that this warranty applies only to the replacement of the product, and its accessories. The seller is not liable for any financial loss and / or prevention of profit and / or any consequential loss that may be caused by non-standard usage of the product. We hereby inform the buyer that Taubik is not responsible for any liability that may occur which could possibly apply to the product and / or its user due to the usage of the product and that the customer alone is solely responsible for third party insurance and / or other insurance as required by the nature of the particular product. The seller is not responsible for any possible damage including bodily harm and damage to property. The warranty does not apply if any part of the product is damaged as a result of negligence, an accident, or inadequate maintenance.

This warranty does not apply to the tire system, spokes, brakes, rims, and other mechanical components of the bicycle.

MATRIX EVH WARRANTY POLICY

General Warranty Terms:

  • Parts Warranty: Parts are warranted for up to 5 years from the purchase date against defects in workmanship and material, under proper installation, operation, and maintenance as per MATRIX EVH’s instructions.
  • Vehicle Warranty: Specific warranty periods apply to different parts and components, detailed below.

Specific Warranty Periods for Non-Fleet Vehicles (Model Year 2016 onwards):

  • Vehicle Frame: 5 years warranty.
  • Deep Cycle Battery – Electric Models: 2 years or 23,000-amp hours, whichever comes first. Note: Additional electrical components can modify this warranty.
  • All Other Parts and Components: 3 years.
  • Shuttle, Terrain, and Utility Vehicles: 2 years on all parts and components.

Warranty Start Date:

  • For parts/components other than Deep Cycle Batteries: Date of delivery to the purchaser’s location or when placed in storage.
  • For Deep Cycle Batteries: Earliest vehicle delivery date, storage date, or one year from the sale or lease date.

Exclusions and Limitations:

  • Excludes routine maintenance items, normal wear and tear, and damages from inadequate maintenance, abuse, accidents, or unauthorized parts use.
  • Warranty void if vehicle modified or altered from MATRIX EVH specifications.
  • Damage from acts of nature, theft, vandalism, or external factors not covered.
  • Transport expenses for warranty service not included.
  • Legal claims must be made within three months of the warranty claim date.

Battery Warranty Specifics:

  • Battery warranty must be activated within 45 days of vehicle delivery.
  • Requires specific testing for warranty claims.
  • Non-factory installed parts or accessories can void the warranty.

Additional Rights and Responsibilities:

  • Design modifications by MATRIX EVH do not necessitate changes to previously manufactured items.
  • Purchaser’s facilities may be audited for warranty claims.

 

Disclaimer:

  • This warranty supersedes all other warranties and limits MATRIX EVH’s liability to repair or replace defective parts.

 

EVOQUE WARRANTY POLICY

As valued customers of Evoque Canada Inc., your adherence to the policies and procedures outlined below is crucial in ensuring a smooth warranty process for the products you have purchased, including those of other brands we sell.

Warranty eligibility is subject to specific terms and conditions.

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser, provided they have the original purchase documents. It excludes non-electric bikes, electric scooters, motorcycle-style e-bikes, and electric mobility scooters not sold by Evoque Canada Inc.

Warranty Coverage

Rest assured, the warranty we provide addresses any manufacturing defects in materials or craftsmanship and includes the replacement of a comprehensive list of defective parts, ensuring your peace of mind.

  • Lithium-ion battery, frame, forks, stem, handlebar, headset, seat post, saddle, lights, bottom bracket, crankset, pedals, rims, wheel hub, freewheel, cassette, derailleur, shifter, motor, throttle, controller, wiring harness, LCD, kickstand, reflectors, and hardware.

Items Not Covered:

  • Pets, plastic housings and shrouds, pitting, scratches, chips, tires, tubes, brake pads, rotors, cables, grips, chains, and spokes are not covered.
  • Damage due to normal wear and tear, which includes the gradual deterioration of the product over time with regular use, lack of maintenance, accident, misuse, or abuse is not covered. For example, if the paint on your bike starts to fade after a few years of use, this would be considered normal wear and tear and not covered by the warranty.
  • Damage from water, road salt, and other external substances is excluded.
  • The labor for any warranty repairs must be carried out at the original store of purchase, although Evoque Canada Inc. will cover the parts.
  • The warranty on batteries and chargers is valid only if they are used and maintained according to instructions and not exposed to freezing temperatures.

Limitations and Exclusions:

  • Modifications from the original design or intended use, such as pulling trailers or using the bike for commercial purposes, may void the warranty.
  • Service or parts replacement not performed by an authorized Evoque Canada dealer/technician will not be covered.

Warranty for Purchased Parts:

  • This warranty extends to defects in materials or quality of bike parts for 90 days post-purchase. Evoque Canada will repair or replace defective parts free of charge.
  • It does not cover damage from improper use, lack of maintenance, accident, abuse, or damage from foreign substances.
  • All covered items must have a valid warranty sticker. Chargers must be compatible with the lithium batteries.

Disclaimer:

  • Evoque Canada Inc. is not liable for damage from using non-compatible chargers or modifications that alter the bike's intended use, leading to potential harm or injury.

Warranty Claim Procedures:

  • A valid proof of purchase is essential for any warranty claims.
  • Should your bike show defects, contact our customer support or the authorized dealer where it was purchased.
  • After an initial review of your warranty claim, Evoque Canada will determine its eligibility. This process may involve a thorough inspection of the product and a review of the warranty terms and conditions. Once the eligibility is confirmed, the necessary action, which may include repair or replacement of parts, will be decided upon.
  • If further inspection or repair is required, the bike/part must be either taken to the original purchase location or shipped to Evoque Canada Inc. The customer is responsible for the shipping costs. This ensures that the customer has control over the process and can choose the most convenient option for them.
